Custom vacuum forming is the heartbeat of Neodesha Plastics as it has been for 40 years. With 42 vacuum forming stations, NPI has the plastic vacuum forming equipment and features to correctly process your plastic vacuum formed parts and give you the desired results. Our process is part equipment and a great deal of talent and we have both of these key pieces to give you the best in custom plastic vacuum forming. Custom Thermoforming
Custom plastic thermoforming is a multifaceted plastics technique using two givens…heat and plastic. Neodesha Plastics has the heat and the plastic in place, but where we go from there is determined by the custom thermoformed parts the customer wants. Our most common custom thermoforming technique uses a vertical oven to heat plastic until supple and then that plastic is “sandwiched” between a two piece fixture and left to cool until it retains its shape. CNC Plastics Machining
NPI is the Midwest leader in CNC plastic machining. For customers needing tight tolerance trim on custom vacuum formed plastic parts, CNC plastic machining is available on one of five five-axis CNC in our plastics manufacturing facilities. Our five axis machines all have 48” of “Z”, meaning we can trim a part as tall as 45” and a length of almost 120” and a width up to 60” depending on design. For customers needing one dimensional “flat rout” type parts, NPI has three three axis CNC’s which can rout and drill flat plastic sheets 50” x 50” and up to 1” thick. Plastic Part Flocking
NPI developed plastic part flocking to meet customer requests. Plastic part flocking is a value added step to give your plastic part a high wear and high end finish which improves the end user quality perception. The luxurious feel also dampens noise. The NPI plastic part flocking process includes a part sprayed with a water based adhesive, then the custom plastic part is electrostatically charged as the flocking is applied. The final process is to oven bake the plastic part to improve adhesion of the flocking for longer wear.
